CAPE Information
Cape (Common and Personal Environment) is the computing environment used in the Microlab. Note that the Microlab Lobby has Solaris workstations to use with CAD applications. Cape terminals have been distributed throughout the lab (which replace the old Z29 terminals). CAPE utilizes a Windows 2000 operating system to provide access to the Microlab web page, internet and, Microlab wand program. Cape is not to be used as a local mail client (MS Outlook Express, etc). Also, user-installed programs will be removed (chat clients, etc).

2. A wand terminal will be activated when you login to CAPE. Login to your wand terminal. Your wand session will stay active until you leave the Microlab.
3. To move to another terminal in the Microlab, click on the "HIDE YOUR CAPE" icon or type start->shutdown->disconnect. Your session is now frozen.
