Artwork Conversion Programs

Artwork conversion programs run on our unix workstations gold or boron . Use Secure Shell to login to these machines.
Jobs still running after you are logged out will be killed (checked every 15 minutes).

ciftomann ciftomann error message "fatal error at line 1".

The cif file was created on a Windows machine so it is in DOS format. ciftomann runs on unix machines. The file must be converted using the unix command dos2unix prior to conversion. See the man page.

Please kill gds2tap, gds2pg, mmask, or pgcam jobs on gold or boron that won't convert.
Run the "ps" commmand and get the Process ID (PID) of the conversion program.
Then use the "kill" program to terminate the process.

>ps
>kill -9 PID
